Do you have to change your wiper blades every year?
Being able to see the road ahead of you while driving is a really big deal. That is why a windshield wiper blade, or windscreen wiper, might be one of the most important parts on your vehicle. The blade on your wiper can become cracked, misshapen or even torn with time. It is recommended that you change your wiper blades every six to twelve months, or sooner, depending on the conditions of where you live and drive. If not changed often, they will start squeaking or chattering , and this will impede your wipers ability to clean the windshield. The rubber on your wiper can also begin to break away from the blade assembly which can cause additional damage to your windshield glass, as the metal or plastic housing of the blade will start to make contact with the glass. So help prevent your windshield glass from getting scratched or chipped by regularly checking and replacing your windshield wiper blades.
Wiper blades: for safety and convenience.
Early model windshield wiper blade systems consisted of a rubber blade that would clamp to the top of the windshield and would require a person to move it back and forth by hand. Modern day wiper systems operate with the simple touch of a button or a turn of a knob. A windshield wiper blade is attached to a wiper arm, which in turn is attached to wiper linkage and the system is run by a wiper motor. The system moves the wiper across your windshield, pushing water, dirt, snow or ice off the surface. It works in conjunction with a washer nozzle, which sprays a liquid, commonly known as windshield washer fluid, on your windshield to help remove any dirt or debris.
