TRW has been in business for over 100 years, and is currently both a major aftermarket supplier and an original equipment manufacturer. Though they have deep roots in the aerospace industry, their automotive division is responsible for some historical innovations; starting with the wheels on the Model T and branching out to influence the creation of various hydraulic and electronic safety systems like brakes, steering components, and vehicle detection. They also make intake and exhaust valves, brake calipers, ball joints, and other engine, chassis, and braking system components. In addition to manufacturing all of these quality auto parts, TRW provides excellent technical instructions and update bulletins to their customers and end users.
TRW disc brake rotors are a solid decision when considering replacing your original equipment. Drum brakes were inefficient and were ultimately replaced by disc brakes as the industry standard. The invention of the disc brake system, utilizing a brake rotor and brake pad, increased braking performance and reliability; resulting in a safer driving experience. Quickly after their introduction disc brakes were used as the favored braking setup.
