CRP disc brake rotors are a quality replacement choice. Before the introduction of disc brakes, drum brakes were the industry standard but were inefficient and prone to premature failure. Because they required less maintenance and still performed better, brake rotors were considered much safer. Shortly after it was released disc brakes were adopted as the new preferred braking method.
