The redesign of their Ram line of full-size pickups was first conceived in the early 1990?s, and the inspiration came from the revelation that customers would really respond to the look of a ?big rig? with an imposing front end and huge grille. Thus was the birth of the new Ram 1500 in 1994, and it was a hit. The entire line of Ram trucks sold over 1 million units in the first 5 years, with the Ram 1500 being the most popular. It was the entry-level model capable of a half-ton payload, and had a variety of engines to choose from (with the exception of the famous Cummins straight 6-cylinder diesel and Magnum V10). Drivers of the Dodge Ram know how rugged and reliable this truck is, and that Dodge Ram 1500 parts including axles, control arms, springs, and shocks can take a beating. Fun fact: a red Dodge Ram was driven by Bill Paxton in the 1996 tornado themed film Twister.
