For the most demanding of hauling and towing needs, the Ford F-350 and its 10,000-lb. or greater gross vehicle weight rating meant that you could easily carry a ton of payload and 4 tons in tow. Not only did the F-350 come with the most powerful available engines, but it could also be optioned with the 4-door Crew Cab, 8-foot longbed, or dually rear wheels. Due to the heavy-duty capabilities of this truck, it's not uncommon to see them converted to flat-beds, tow trucks, or moving vehicles. Ford built these to last, and the full-size Ford F-350 parts that were used are the toughest around. It is not uncommon to still see some of these huge trucks driving around even after 30 or more years of active duty. Fun fact: a sixth and a seventh generation Ford F-350 were converted to serve as an airport runway mobile stair-truck vehicle for use on the hit television show Arrested Development.
