Until recently, the Hyundai Elantra was thought of as a cheap car with reliability issues. It took almost twenty years from the first generation in 1989 for the model to actually be taken seriously as a contender in the compact market. But now it leads the pack in value and performance for its price point. It's less expensive than a Civic, roomier and faster than a Jetta. Significant improvements were made generation over generation to include standard ABS, all-power accessories, and a 1.8L engine putting out 148hp. Clearly, Hyundai Elantra parts make a great car.
