The XJ6 was Jaguar's entry-level offering for almost 30 years on 4 different chassis. The Series 2 and Series 3 chassis were classic Jaguar body styles from the early 70's to mid 80's, and were followed by the XJ40 and X300 chassis. They all included variations of the XK and AJ inline six-cylinder engines with different power outputs, and were 4-door sedans. Fuel economy was a huge concern when this vehicle made its debut, so it's not surprising to know that the XJ6 consistently outsold the XJ12 by almost 10:1. This also means that Jaguar XJ6 parts are easy to find, and when repairing your car you should try to buy trusted names and brands.
