The Mazda B-series was one of the original import compact pickups. In later years in was the twin of the Ford Ranger. Many Mazda B3000 parts are shared with the Ford Ranger. The B stood for the series of pickup and the 3000 signified the 3000cc or 3.0 liter V6 engine. From 1994 on the US market B3000 was different from the pickups sold in other market. It was available with rear or four wheel drive. The discontinuation of the Ranger has left Mazda without a pickup. The Mazda B3000 parts kept going up until the 2007 model year offering the same Ford quality with more Japanese styling. The B3000 is a simple, reliable pickup and is still common to see one on the roads today.
