The 112 Mercedes-Benz was their full-size luxury vehicle for most of the 1960's. It came equipped with a 3.0L inline 6-cylinder engine making between 160 and 170hp. It was also the first car badged as a 300SE. Later, the 126 and 140 chassis would take over the 300SE badge and put it another 3.0L six-cylinder engine. Power output was a little higher, and when dropped in a full-size 4-door sedan it made a well-handling and reasonably fuel efficient vehicle. Mercedes-Benz 300SE parts are readily available for the 126 and 140 chassis, but not so much for the older 112.
