The Mercury Montego was launched as an upscale version of the Comet and was similar to Ford's Torino. The second generation model came to market with its own body shell and was a much better seller than the previous model. The curvy "coke bottle" styling was very much in fashion in the early 1970s. The Montego was a relatively short lived model though and after 1976 it was replaced by Monarch and Cougar models. Keep your car running well with our Mercury Montego parts.
