The Mitsubishi Montero Sport was a slightly smaller version of the Montero. It was known as the Challenger or Pajero Sport in many other markets. The Montero Sport had a sleek modern design and was an early success and began to outsell the larger Montero. The first Montero Sport was in fact based on the frame of the older Montero. In the US, Mitsubishi Montero Sport parts were always sold with the V6. They offered four wheel drive and were still traditional off road vehicles. The Montero Sport was essentially replaced by the Endeavor in 2004. Mitsubishi no longer offers a traditional SUV like this one.
