Cruiser was the name given to station wagon versions of the Cutlass. This was a front wheel drive mid-size vehicle based on the Cutlass Ciera. Many Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser parts are shared with the Ciera. The car was a major success and lasted from 1982-1996. It was a simple design with reliable engines and affordable service. They were offered with wood grain side paneling. These cars essentially replaced the earlier more flamboyantly styled Vista Cruiser Cutlass models. Sadly, the overhead skylights offered on those Vista Cruisers were not available on the Cutlass Cruiser. The Oldsmobile brand was discontinued in 2004 so we will not see a new Cutlass Cruiser. Even if Oldsmobile was still making cars, it is unlikely that they would produce a station wagon.
