Firebird was Pontiac's version of General Motors' long running F-Body. There were many performance varieties over the years including the Trans Am, GTA, Firehawk, Turbo, Super Duty and Formula. The first generation was available with Pontiac's unique overhead cam six-cylinder, but the really desirable engine was the 400 cubic inch Ram-Air IV V8. In the 70s, the Firebird received its biggest engine with the 455 cubic inch Super Duty V8.Keep your car running in top performance without Pontiac Firebird parts. It launched in 1967 and lasted four generations before the last Firebirds were made in 2002. When the Camaro was relaunched, there was hope of a new Firebird but that will not happen because the Pontiac brand discontinued in 2009.
